About Us

Acadiana Regional Airport is a General Aviation Airport, fully-certificated under Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 139 (Federal Aviation Administration F.A.R. Part 139). The primary feature is an 8,002-foot long, 200-foot wide concrete runway and fully instrumented airfield, strategically situated between the major markets of Houston and New Orleans. Also, a 5,000 foot long, 150 foot wide fully lighted seaway, perfect for amphibs and pontoon helicopters.

The Airport Industrial Park has land to expand, with 1,200 acres available for development, including prime runway and taxiway frontage.

Acadiana Regional Airport is home to more than 50 companies and 1750 employees, including Bristow, the world's largest provider of helicopter services, and Avex, the world's leader in aviation exterior painting, from small regional jets to the Boeing 747, the Boeing 777 and the Airbus 300 and 330.
 
Our corporate neighbors include Aggreko, the global leader in the rental of power, temperature control and oil-free compressed air systems; Louisiana Specialty Products, a provider of food and medical grade vinegar; Carbo Ceramics, the provider of ceramic materials for the oil and gas industry; and the University of Louisiana, Lafayette primate research facility.
 
Located just north of U.S. Highway 90 (the future Interstate 49 corridor) and just south of Louisiana Highway 182, the airport also features direct rail access, a 5,000-foot lighted water runway for amphibious aircraft and a rail-to-truck offloading facility.
